JK2006 I can't believe how under rated in the UK Monk has been; a truly magnificent series which ended in late 2009 but we've only just seen it finish here. Tony Shaloub was superb (more than star, he created much of the concept). Great scripts; marvelous cast (and Craig Nelson from Hill Street Blues as the eventual baddie). Funny, touching - and with little touches - my favourite scene ran in the opening titles over the line "I could be wrong" when Monk swerves with the airport security wand; for some reason I think that's hilarious.

Plus of course the best theme of the century (by Randy Newman).

My award for series of the century. And almost nobody saw it.
