Prunella Minge That's the American model, but I don't think it works, yet, over here. I wonder if the scheduling of Celebrity Masterchef is just another case of the 'selling ice-cream in winter' policy that helped finish off TOTP. They'll claim disingenuously that they gave up more airtime than ever before to the programme and yet it slumped - thus enabling them to declare it's gone stale.
steveimp The BBC are investing a lot in the day times, perhaps they are assuming that a high number of people will record to watch later?
robbiex Yes the Ora restaurant does look lovely, Thai food is so light and refreshing.
I wonder what the deal is when they let celebrities/contestants in the kitchen. Obviously great publicity for the restaurant, but a bad dish from a celebrity could ruin a restaurant's reputation.
Prunella Minge Actually the figures dipped a bit last time, and the line-up this time looks pretty poor, but I agree the scheduling is very odd (although there is an omnibus edition each week at peak time).
JK2006 I've just booked a table at that excellent looking Thai restaurant, Robbie.
