Yes Russia has said quite correctly that the Geneva Conventions on prisoners of war has been breached.

WOW ! Has it? That great bastion of freedom and democracy !

Of course Cameron/Clinton etc etc cannot really be held responsible for the rebels..sorry I mean freedom fighters actions (although they armed them) but not one...not one single Western leader has come out and condemned the savage execution without trial of Gaddafi.

Do I care how he died?

No !

Do the Libyans care how he died ?

No !

Does the world care how he died ?

No ! (but thank God for YouTube !!!!!)

ITK must be right - if we are to believe the media.

Thank God we have the media (and ITK) to tell us the truth. Now we know where Big Brother is when we need him.

Stop grovelling, JK - it really doesn't suit you !

(PS - I've never been against dictatorship - as long as I was the dictator !)

Yes it's not so much the jubilation I object to (it's natural to cheer a victory; indeed, I'm delighted that a regime has been overthrown

Let's hope that Libyans haven't been reading this board, JK - they may have got a different impression !

which might mean I can now visit the country and see places of fascinating historical interest).

The best Roman ruins in the world !

easyJet are probably arranging flights right now - and those nice Libyans people will benefit from all that tourism.

It's the vindictive nastiness and pleasure at death and lack of decent respect which horrifies me.

Leaving aside the morality of whether or not to support one side in another country's civil war; it's the blatant, unashamed pleasure at the pornographic images of death that offends me.

It was never a civil war. It was always Gaddafi and his henchman trying to crush any opposition (just as he has done for 42 years). Why do you think he had to bring in mercenaries? Because there was NO other support !

Human beings appear to have rejected humanity without noticing.

No - its Gaddafi that rejected humanity ... which is why everyone is celebrating his death !

Of course all the rules went out the window when the ghastly Tony Blair and George Bush- who probably have been responsible for more horrible deaths than the Libyan dictator held hands and decided being a war criminal was the order of the day.

Did anyone catch the Daily Mail's handy guide and films of the the executions they ran the other day ?

Snuff movies. Lovely.
