JK2006 I'm slightly tempted to buy her new Jane Austen book; might be a mistake but she's such a character.
david She's amazing, isn't she?

She was guest editor on Radio 4's Today programme about a year ago and was a superb interviewer, running rings around the BBC Director General if I remember rightly!
JK2006 There's a superb interview with her by Valerie Grove in yesterday's Times; one paragraph has Ronald Searle (legendary cartoonist) watching his sister and PD James 75 years ago playing hockey in gym slips at Cambridge.
