So Blair sent us to war, but this was based on false information that was given to him. Any of the other party leaders would have done exactly the same. If it wasn't for Blair, we would have 31 years of continuous tory government, and don't forget we had 10 years of solid growth under Blair,
true..as did most of the allied governments but I believe they wanted to believe that false information and couldn't wait to blast thousands of Iraqis..not one who had ever harmed Britain..to death. (and these were acts which we hanged Nazis for)
Was there really much benefit in removing the Tories and replacing them with a Thatcher on steroids ?
We could debate endlessly about "growth" but how much of it was artificial that ended in the 2008 meltdown ?.
ie : selling off the farm can look highly profitable on paper..for a while. |

Wasn't it a fact that Blair had been told that the information was at least dodgy and that some of his cabinet resigned in protest.
10 solid growth? That was when Brown sold the countries gold reserves and our "growth" was just an image to mask the real truth that Britain was getting deeper and deeper into debt .. landing us into the crisis we are in today? |
