steveimp The Gruffalo's Child was absolutely superb.
Pumpkinhead I only watched one thing on that list, and it certainly wasn't Eastenders. Only a masochist would want to watch Eastenders at Christmas.
JK2006 The No1 show - EastEnders - got 9.9 million viewers - only 200,000 more than my Entertainment USA at peak (on 9.7 million on BBC2 for our Christmas special in the 1980's).

How times change.

Like music, greater specialisation and choice means less for more.

Dr Who and Downton both did great after the two soaps.

So did the charming Gruffalo's Child.
