I've been fascinated by ABBA ever since I and my former wife arrived at a New York party decades ago and were rushed by the media who assumed we were them!
I love ABBA music but it's a bit like chocolate..too much and you get over it quickly.
Also every Australian film seems to feature ABBA music..they have made careers out of recycle the music in film and on stage !(Priscilla)

Admittedly Abba had a couple of Album tracks that were pretty good, like Eagle or "When I kissed the teacher". However generally speaking albums are just hit singles and filler tracks, with the occassional reasonable track. Eagle was good, but never good enough to be released as a single. Abba even admit themselves that they never really had a definitive album like pink floyd with "The wall" or Fleetwood Mac with "Rumours".

ABBA like good wine became better as nostalgia beckoned.
At the time of new wave/punk they were so uncool, but annoyingly still produced some great tunes
As for LPS,the good the bad and the ugly. They got better as time went on.Very few early 60s efforts, even The Beatles were worth listening to,but by the early 70s the better music was to be found there.

Almost every track on every ABBA album would have been suitable as a single. Look at " Arrival ". There were tracks on that album that got airplay even though they weren't singles. "When I Kissed The Teacher" and "Tiger". "That's Me" was a b side. " Arrival" itself was later a minor hit for Mike Oldfield who even did a helicopter cover shot for the single cover. My own favourite is "The Visitors", an album written while the divorces were taking place. And that magnificent title track which was sadly relegated to a 'b' side in the UK.

sorry, links failed.
Here are classic ABBA album tracks that were not singles. They are all from the same album, which also produced 3 hit singles in addition to these.
