JK2006 Sorry to go against the flow (as I do on Kelvin) but I thought Desmond was terrific on the Leveson Inquiry - defending his staff (rightly or wrongly - but that's what he should have done), putting his side across fairly despite deliberate misinterpretation by the barrister, leaving the ghastly, dishonest, corrupt and lazy PCC... the only thing I disagree with him on is that he believes papers circulation cannot really rise without the obvious tricks (ditto TV ratings) whereas I believe the combination of quality and populism DOES win both circulation and ratings.
