JK2006 My Mum used to have an annoying habit - adopted by my brother and numerous others - of giving alternative answers in the same breath as asking a question - so the process took far longer than it needed.

Now everyone seems to be doing it and expanding the premise. So they ask a question, provide several alternative answers, decide which is correct and then elucidate that answer - all without drawing breath. Invariably it's the wrong answer (and often the wrong question) so a simple Yes or No turns into a ten minute wasted soliloquy.

Or am I just getting old?
