The Fat Controller I now await ITV to come up with some kind of alternative. Cowell The Midwife perhaps? (Simon Cowell delivers babies in new ITV reality show)!

This isn't a joke btw. It really wouldn't surprise me. In my view ITV are a joke channel. The beeb have won Saturday nights and Sunday nights now too. I haven't watched ITV since the days of Alistair Burnett on News At 545.
JK2006 Delighted to see the finale got almost 10 million viewers.
Still can't quite work out how a series about having babies got me hooked - very much aimed at women, one would have thought - since even the idea of giving birth provokes tummy ache in us men... actually I do know; I've got a crush on Miranda and have had since her own series began - she was superb as Chummy.

But it was all so well written, acted and directed. Jenny Agutter returns! Vanessa Redgrave's wonderful voice.

I called it a Guilty Pleasure six weeks ago. Guilty no longer.
