andrew The past 5 weeks have been poor on TV I don't see the point of paying the license fee there is so much the BBC can axe. Do we need all that news coverage ? 3 channels telling the same news on at the same time, then you have BBC News, World Service and BBC Parliament there's more you have BBC radio stations telling the same thing every hour.
JK2006 Dreadful night for TV with nothing worth watching so I dug out my Guard DVD and watched it; it really is a superb film; I laughed many times out loud (perhaps my sort of sense of humour just isn't the same as TV schedulers). I'd put it up there with Hugo and The Artist as the three best movies of 2011 for me.

And I definitely repeat - Brendan Gleeson should have won Best Actor Oscar for it (he wasn't even nominated). Mark Strong is also fabulous in it.
