The Fat Controller I adored the Paddington TV series...usually just before the doom and gloom of the Six Oclock news many moons ago. Michael Hordern narrated perfectly.
giles2008 Paddington Bear?? Never!! The award should be shared between Pugh,Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubbb. The brave boys of the Trumpton Fire Brigade who were experts at rescuing cats from trees and removing birds nests from the town hall clock. They never put out a fire though. I can only assume the residents of the quiet villages of Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley were not easily inflamed!!
andrew I would of said Mr Spoon, I never liked the background drawings in Paddington Bear.

Paddington Bear has been voted Britain's best animated character of all time.

Had my son voted, it would have been a close call between Postman Pat and the excellent Roary the Racing Car.
