should this headline actually be ....

loony Unions see yet another opportunity to blackmail the public ?

Please, please, please ... can the strike last all summer ?

(then can we sack all the drivers?)

Thought for the Day -

The drivers get £45,000 for a 40 hour week.

Thats more than we pay bomb disposal officers in Afghanistan.

There's a national strike in Spain today...

and look what good it did them !!! -

Spain is cutting 27bn euros ($36bn; £22.5bn) from its budget this year as part of one of the toughest austerity drives in its history.

Changes will include freezing public sector workers' salaries and reducing departmental budgets by 16.9%.

I've never quite understood why people "demonstrate" under these circumstances.

The Country is broke !
Do they expect someone to appear with a magic wand if they jump up and down like pedantic little children ?

No wonder you are in PAIN, IA !

I expect it's a bit like going to the football....more fun doing it than the actual result

ITK if you really believe in capitalism why would you object to anyone using their market power (ie-supply of labour) to gain higher wages if it works?...it's the way of every other business...ie : you either accept their price or don't buy ??

Can't reply now, veritas .... need to make lots of trips to the petrol station to fill-up the cars !
