Niknak Ah a message from the colonies!
Gerry On from the USA where we have similar sites - but better.

This thread is dull and boring. More suited to twitter...

Have a good day!

JK2006 Quite right Robbie and I've told Ray - who's a decent, honest tiny garage owner who sends the car off for the MOT - it's not only a compliment to the car but to him too (they always try it on at the big garages with the Rolls - brake linings are the favourite trick - you really can't refuse that!).

Anyway; Baby Car got a special present as a reward - the thick, luxurious carpet rugs from the old red Roller have now been installed in Baby Car which is purring with pride.
robbiex If you go to the MOT place I went to, Halfords Autocentre, you can be sure that they will find something to fix on it (Whether its needed or not). They said my two front tyres needed replacing (They replaced them 2 months earlier). Of course I didn't let them do it. My view of mechanics is that they are on the whole a bunch of crooks.
JK2006 Ray at the garage, like me, cannot believe that every year there is nothing needed doing and a mere £50 charge.

When I told him the petrol consumption at this current moment in time, he couldn't believe it. So I showed him the Mile-ometer which I had reset at 0 when I filled it for £30 two weeks ago; 268 miles. And the tank is still exactly half full. Should take me past Easter before I need to fill it again (if the weather holds up).

Mind you, Little Car is getting grumpy.
