I settle to see Upton Park be redeveloped same location, same pitch, same history and still be at our home. |

Classic = old.
And, you're right, its all the Icelandic banks fault!

It's not a third rate stadium it's a classic stadium just like Wrigley Field. Sullivan and Gold should concentrate on promotion, wiping off the debts, get some first rate players but let the manager decide who to get. Eggy was a great chairman until the Icelandic banks crashed and made him and West Ham broke he had great ideas. |

We already have a second rate team (in the Championship) and a mediocre manager.
Upton Park may never have hurt anyone - but, if its not modernised, we'll continue to have a third rate ground as well.
The one thing in our favour (bigtime!) is two billionaire owners who are not too reluctant to splash their cash.

They need to leave it alone the stadium has never hurt anyone. We're in the play offs now which means anything can happen and we beat Cardiff twice but they can change their tactics and give us a beating. Reading surprised everyone for getting automatic promotion so just shows you what can happen.
PH maybe you should watch some old Leeds games they had plenty of tantrums, Billy Bremner was a right bastard on the pitch but a fantastic player who did all the work for the team.
Not much as changed with supporters eating chocolate, drinking bovril, swearing at the ref and at our own players. |
