Robbiex If was recently reported in the Mail on Sunday that there were 1 million poles coming to the UK, which was 60 times that estimated by the government. Given that we don't have full employment by a long way, and we have thousands of homeless people, should we be encouraging massive amounts of immigrant workers to the uk.

Shouldn't we be doing more to encourage the jobless to get back to work and the increasing number of people signed off as sick. We have Universities overflowing with over-educated people. The shortage of labour is in the un-skilled area not skilled work. It seems stupid to have a points system based on whether we should allow immigrants to come over here. I think massive immigration is great for business managers because they can get cheap labour, but everyone else itis a disaster, because we all have to work lower wages and there is more competition for work.
