HaventAClue(OutOnPolare) Queens of High-Camp - DISGUSTING ! (thankfully)

GoldenBallsup A fine exposition on 'Camp' as Fashion & Taste, with some rightful Gay refs.

Tho surely missing are some of the all-time great 'Campers', sometimes referred to as, "Camp as a row of tents! "

And not to 'mince' words a, now near NON-pc, fine exchange between much loved awesome archetypes Camp Monarchs of the Rockin 50s, Beeb-Queens Jules & Sandy:

"My domineering mother made me a homosexual..."

"Ooooooooooh, if I give her the wool, will she make me one ?"

While also in a criminally risky & risque era long before the too-long CUmming eventual UK Equal Age Of Consent Act Y2K(KY?); the all-time 20th century Queen Camp Dandy is surely our Stately Homo Of All England -Quentin Crisp.

JK2006 with the comment "it's almost a handbook on How To Be Jake"...

Very funny and quite interesting; as it happens, Andrew Loog Oldham (mainly) and myself dragged "camp" into the mainstream popular conscience in 1965... quite intentionally, from London and Cambridge...
