I speak wearing my capitalist hat Whole Truth but at heart I am a fashionable left-wing Marxist.
I am sure whole communities were razed in the process and the 'low cost' housing will be a bare minimum.
I despaired to see the story the other day of the million dollar former council flat near Buck House.
One of the joys of London, like New York, was the amazing mix of classes and cultures in the centre.
All changed forever by ghastly New Labour and Maggie. |

I disagree.
events will overtake the games as they have elsewhere. The one big benefit was locating them in a basically inner city area instead of some vast wilderness. |

Too true JK.
Rockin Red Ken, Beckham & Co (plus Coe) nailed it in '05, then the BLiar-Brown brigade humped the first HARD 5-years of work. Just in time for opportunist BIG BUFFOON BORIS (blond spider from afar) to claim the gory-glory with, in our nous, not a nod to the pre-'010 mob.
Meanwhile we also wonder why Alf's World Cup'66 and-all-that Wingless-Wonder-Winners, Banks-Hurst et al weren't name-checked ?
Cept of course they're all-Anglos not the Godhead 'Team-GB'. CONveniently forgetting that the bulk of O-medals came from Anglos, plus Rockin Jocks, Wacky Paddys, Top Taffs etc.
And, a crowning GOLD finale from lonely long-runner Farah ex-far off SomaliLand - STILL not formally recognised by ex-Empire Bullshit Blighty God Almighty ! |

And ITK, as usual, will be wrong; a superb investment; you can never spend too much boosting enthusiasm, optimism, positivity; the benefits will come for decades. Lord Coe for Prime Minister, I say. And congratulations to Jeremy Hunt who deserves great praise for holding it all together against great odds and predictably negative media.
And let us not forget Ken Livingstone who got them for us. |
