DJones I never read a Harry Potter book, but I started this one yesterday. It is no master work, but it is rather good: A little bit like a modern version of "The Pickwick Papers".
Hedda I've never read a JK Rowling book and only seen one Harry Potter movie which I quite liked but got a bit bored (perhaps I'd like the 3D ones)

But for some reason I really like JK Rowling and the more I read about her the more I like her.

Maybe I'll read this one.
JK2006 I shall be buying The Casual Vacancy - not because she's famous but because I think she's a terrific writer and have thought that since 1997... as my CD tribute from 1999 illustrates.
