Hedda I think we are seeing a lot of window dressing from so-called authorities.

I reckon the Freddie Starr claim is going to unravel badly. There could be a few who genuinely had it off with Jimmy Savile but I bet it was far more complex than being claimed.

I never met the man or took much interest in him apart from watching Top Of The Pops. Knew plenty who knew him or had met him but never heard any gossip which is odd as everyone I know is a gossiper.

Mind you, he always seemed to me to carry an aura of celibacy so what would I know?
