Sad isn't it, when we have to pass a law to force the police to give evidence to the IPCC investigating nearly 100 deaths?

The whole ethos of the police is wrong ... it needs totally dismantling and starting again.

Had the Assistant Chief Constable killed himself or was he killed to stop him implicating someone more powerful than him and then his body left to be mashed up by trains?

My guess is the former, but you never know what machievellian (is that spelt correctly?) things go on in the world of policing and keeping the public away from the truth.
The Astrological Twin ha ha ha ... well done ITK .. I wonder how many serving police will be left by the time North Wales, Surrey, South Yorkshire and Merseyside police have been purged?

This story disappeared very quickly www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/96...k-after-suicide.html

They were worried they may lose their jobs and never get them back again because the closure of the pits was an attempt by the ruling elite to destroy the Trades Unions and leave vast swathes of the the industrial north like a scrap heap.

"ruling elite" ???
Don't you mean DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT?

They certainly played right into the government's hands - with flying pickets (mob rule) etc.

They were right to worry. Take a look round Salford now. It's a wasteland. It wasn't back then

Well ... I never knew that Salford was a mining community !

Perhaps you could explain to the electors why we should pay over the odds (for coal) just to keep someone (unemployable elsewhere) in one of the highest paid jobs in the UK (all achieved through militancy of course).
