It looks like Leveson did a sensible job as expected, totally avoided the real issues, reported on that dreadful habit the tabloids have of photographing celebrities and hacking into dead peoples' phones and not coping with the relationship between media, police, politicians and judiciary whose combined priority is... is it a good story?

Nice man; lousy report.

Cameron, naturally controlled by the Mail, says "over my dead image".

I didn't actually object to Cameron being cautious about the notion of legislation. A PM should react like that rather than leaping to rubber stamp such a move. The opportunistic responses to him said a great deal about politics these days. All he said was that it should be discussed before deciding to implement the proposal, yet immediately it was reported as 'Cameron rejects Leveson'. Sad.

Quite right, Bob

Hurriedly made law is usually very bad law indeed.

Anyone remember the Dangerous Dogs Act ????

The end of this Government is imminent.

No it isnt ... nearly 3 years to go before re-election (although not yet certain whether stand alone or as Coalition).

The Astrological Twin It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. Will Clegg's support fade as he thinks about his future working for the EU and will MilliVanilliBand risk alienating the media he may need to keep sweet for the next election.

I must say, it looks like Leveson did a GREAT job.
