steveimp You are right, UFO was an amazingly adult series for Gerry Anderson. Often forgotten, but superb stuff.
Hamlet RIP to a creative genius. None of the TV news obituries mentioned 'UFO' which to my mind was his best series. Also 'The Secret Service' is a forgotten Anderson gem.
JK2006 Thunderbirds Have Gone; a terrific creative director - many of us look at his work and the work of Ray Harryhausen as the breakthrough animators, along with Disney... just as Nick Park and Wallace and Gromit dominated the past 25 years; so Gerry Anderson dominated the 25 years before that.
