3 yrs reduced to just 15 mnths, because at age 53 she has adopted a small child.
Some clarity needed here:
1. She should have been retired at 50.
2. As an immoral criminal she should now be barred from raising children.
3. She should be closely monitored, electro-tagged, with restricted residence, work, travel, and web-access, while placed on a Child Protection Register. |

Hurrah. First Elveden success; first Individual Accountability triumph of 2013. Judge said the News of the World hack who gave evidence against her was totally believable and honourable - just shows, not all us hacks are bent (I've been an NUJ member for 40 years).
Judge rejected her stupid excuse that she was about to adopt a child and it would harm the baby's life (bollocks - like her excuses about going to the NOTW as opposed to Guardian or Private Eye).
Like Hillsborough and Plebgate, Elveden will illustrate the bad, bent, corrupt side of past police morality. Let's hope the current, remaining officers have learned from this. |
