You have to give credit to the Coalition, Chris ... they are the ONLY government EVER who dared to challenge the police (and make them accountable). All previous politicians were too frightened.

Now ... 20% budget cuts (less waste), we have fewer police (so less skivers), cuts in starting pay, accountability, and (elected) Police Commissioners setting the Agenda.

The Met were forced to investigate Plebgate properly - and as a result several police have been arrested.

As Bob once said ... The Times they are A-Changing !
Chris Retro It's the succession of numerous "mountains out of molehills" that point to be big glaring fact - absolute corruption by The Police (in particular The Met, who no longer seem to care about even appearing legitimate), The Mainstream Media and the Politicians - with all 3 in cahoots with each other.
Plebgate, Savilegate, etc etc etc - all issues concocted with maximum collaboration and minimum attention paid to actual truth/facts.

We may be arriving at a eve of 'individual accountabilty' but we are also on the precipice of The Cliff of Truth being permanently & spectacularly eroded.
andrew I hate police and the Tories even more.

I find the whole thing pathetic.

You find that the police actively conspired to force a government minister out of a job pathetic ?
