JK2006 Certainly seems to be the Canadians who come out of it smelling of roses (plus the under played, beautifully subtle Iranian maid). Damn good movie - the tension never droops. About 400 times better than the appalling Lincoln. But Life of Pi is great too; nice that it won 4 Oscars.

I think you'll find that this is incorrect - they were not given refuge in the British embassy, although it may have been a plan at one time.

Pru Arkin is always good. If he's in a movie I'll watch it regardless of any reviews.
JK2006 I adored the Arkin/Goodman duo - they reminded me of Charters and Caldicott (is that the right names) in The Lady Vanishes - talking about cricket... if I was a Hollywood Executive (thank you God that I'm not) I'd book them for a TV series today!
Foz I saw this on the plane the other day and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately there is a smidgen of artistic licence throughout the film. Their departure from Tehran was not nearly as nail biting as suggested and they gave no credit to the British embassy who originally gave them refuge. But then again it would have been a boring film!
