Explaining 14 and 15 Honey; because of the media simplification and inaccurate use of language, plus the blinkered crusades by campaigners, children think being attracted to other children of similar age is paedophilia (and indeed it is by certain definitions). A common term of abuse, largely replacing "gay" or "queer".

Ah, yes i see. Thank you.

I am surprised young adults/children are not in a permanent state of confusion.

Fourteen year olds used to be considered adult until the mid seventies, and often worked full time. Now they need everything done for them and must not be left alone at home.

They are "old enough" to choose school subjects and exams that will decide their career, but are hampered by child labour laws if they try to get a head start with a part time job.

At sixteen they can enter into an arranged marriage with a fifty year old stranger but if they choose to have sex with a twenty-five year old teacher they have been raped.

We've received mixed messages over the years, when I was a kid much much younger than 14 I was always told to "grow up for God's sake" and "act your age", by the time I was 12, I never needed told anymore, lol

I thing i've actually been regressing over the years though...

Gay was more of a big taunt when I was at school, i've heard 'paedo' tossed around when theres just a few months apart in age as a joke though...

There are many reasons for bullying; most unfair and stupid (kids are just little adults and most adults are silly and thick).

If one parent is overweight - kids will be very cruel to the offspring. Would the parent lose weight? No chance.

Or if a 14 year old fell in love with a 15 year old? Paedophile - and we know what some parents think of those perverts.

14 and 15? Sorry, i dont understand.

I do often hear about mothers losing weight in case their child is bullied, and it seems that the reason most children have dull names is to stop the "exotic name mafia" from bullying.
They buy the "right" trainers, the right coat, the right phone, everything the same as all the rest just in case they are bullied.
I dont think we should modify our behaviour in case we are tormented by idiots, because if it isn't one thing its another.

True, I was once came across a boy picking on another boy cause his mum was disabled, well she can't help that...

You can modify you behavior to try and fit in within reason, but it shouldn't result in you having to do things that are against you better judgement or renounce people you like just because some fool or bunch of fools has decided they don't like them because of something stupid like the way they look or the trainers the wear - these things shouldn't matter...
