giles2008 The restored Blu Ray edition of the original movie is a real treat.

The remake is a computer generated turkey.
JK2006 Original Michael Rennie film of course (haven't seen the remake)... not only a superb sci fi classic with early effects and wooden sets but a great point; as our tiny world reaches obliteration (global warming, shellfish dying, bees disappearing) it's time we started thinking of the future.

I often regard humanity as a small anthill; a colony of miniature creatures in this massive universe and our daily decisions, though crucial to us, mean virtually nothing in the giant scheme of things.
