JK2006 I was a bit worried about this latest one for the first half; a bit obvious but, like everything Kay Mellor does, it was all setting up the expected but dramatic ending.

Very good TV - both creative and populist.
JK2006 Still gripped... a really good series.
dixie I didn't see series 1, but I'm really enjoying this one. All three parts have been superb!
JK2006 Alison Steadman was terrific; I have a huge weakness for all Mike Leigh actors; he really nurtures the best. Virtually every great British actor comes from Leigh.

I love the lady who was in Downton; a completely different character in every way.
Foz Didn't see the last series, but am really enjoying it so far myself. I love these portmanteaux-type dramas and the BBC seem to have done a few good ones in recent years.
