yes I love all those elements and no-one does it better.
But I believe it was a huge mistake as far as Margaret Thacher was concerned.
And she and I obviously thought the same on this particular matter.  |

Katherine Jenkins looked like a prize pillock.
Joan Collins had style...for God's sake these brassy tasteless women should have thought "what would Sophia Loren or Audrey Hepburn wear to a funeral ?"...a great big black hat with a veil, that's what !.
But I loved all those old Tory MPs in morning suits.
Fancy wearing a fashionable Phillip Treacy hat to a funeral..cheap and nasty.
In fact, why on earth was Katherine Jenkins there ? She couldn't possibly have know Thatcher particularly as Maggie had altheimers for at least 15 years.
a cheap. nasty populist funeral that debased Thatcher and all she stood for.
I may have intensley disliked her but she wasn't a fool..she wanted a small dignified funeral...what she got was a celebrity shindig.

For Pete's sake fascinators are for the geese that now flock to Ascot and lower the tone.
Big dramatic black hats and veils are for funerals.
another indication that JK's beloved Maggie will be forgotten in a few months. |
