In The Know Isn't it just people moving with the times? The Tories are very gay-friendly these days - something unthinkable just a few years ago.

I suspect that this was yet another bandwagon that Blair saw rolling - and jumped on board !
Rusty I went to civil partnership ceremony for two guys the other day and it was just fantastic. I thought I
In The Know What Blair really wanted was either to become President of Europe or else the new Secretary General of the UN (vacant from December next year).

The first is now out - because we won't now have a President of Europe - and the rest of the World wouldn't have him as Sec Gen of the UN following his unequivocal support for the USA.

I agree he'll go and live in America .... just wish he'd done that about 10 years ago !!!!
Richard Ely It wouldn't surprise me at all if, following his resignation, Blair leaves these shores and sets up in the U.S., ultimately becoming an American citizen. Americans love his brand of watered down liberalism, and will remember him kindly for all the help he gave them, moral and physical, in the Iraq war.

He'll make millions as conference speaker, to go with the millions Cherie is already making from her role as a professional PM's wife.

And he'll probably make the odd intervention in British politics - endorsing David Cameron in 2009/2010.

Maybe that's a less gruesome idea than his once-rumour decision to set up a think-tank aimed at promoting 'Christian values' in politics.
In The Know Thought I'd grab the headline before the Sun tried to get it !

The Sun - still desperately trying to prop-up Blair, and "spinning" ever news item to try and make it positive - will soon "turn" and knife him.

Government Ministers quitting - how many more to follow? Interesting that Blair accuses them of not "being loyal". I though he believed in freedom and democracy?

Perhaps if Blair has been loyal (to his UK public, and his own Party) instead of being loyal to the US Government he would not be in the mess he is in now?

As for his "legacy" - he'll go down in history as the Great B-Liar !
