Mr Reason I get amused each year by Wimbledon. Sport is predominently a male pursuit, playing and watching. Predominently, as some would suggest, young 'working class' males are the main supporters in each individual sport

....and then Wimbledon comes around and the Tennis club middle class turn up, suited and booted, the middle class housewives (my mother-in-law) in bunting and daft hats and hooray type of young toffs who wouldn't generally know the name of their local Football club (not that that has naythong to do with the price of onions, I know)

I just find it amusing how for 2 weeks, there is a whole secret world of Tennis fans within the population who don't seem to get bothered about very much in life in general, in an overt support kind of way, decide that shouting, calling people they haven't ever met by their first names (Tim, Andy etc...), wearing home made daft clothes, talking about which celeb is in the royal box and demanding that 'grass roots Tennis' should recieve massive funding!

Makes me laugh (but then I don't like Tennis really), so I guess I wouldn't get it
JK2006 Very exciting so far; could go either way.
andrew Anyone but the Scottish.
robbiex From what I've seen of it, it looks like Djokovic hasn't turned up yet. The standard of tennis overall isn't great.
JK2006 This is more like it - Andy Murray two sets up but Djokovic not out yet...
