The first half of season 1 of Glee was excellent frothy fun, but it soon petered out (or steered itself even more to the tweenies), and I gave up on it a few episodes into season 2... like many US TV shows, producing over 16 hours of programming every single year (24 x 40 minutes, the equivalent of all 3 Godfather Films plus all 3 Matrix films) inevitably means any concept will be spread increasingly thin, and "kids singing in high school" wasn't that long-term a pitch to start with...
I feel sorry for Cory though, by all accounts he was a nice guy, albeit one with problems, and by most standards was a huge success... it's always a shame when that is cut short, for whatever reason. |

Reminded me too much of Fame from the 80s and I hated growing up with that.... |
