david	JK did you see this excellent programme on BBC4 last night? I remember the time (mainly in the 80s) when the UK music scene was really starting to open up to sounds and songs from other countries. K	Good, simple and brought cultures together. Having said that it's very western with a standard major 3 chord (I, IV, V) progression. Norman's take on it was perfect as the original was way to drab. The line, "Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow" (if a little rushed) is a hook in itself.
JK2006	Chris Evans just played this magnificent Cornershop/ FatBoy Slim mix and I remembered how excited I became when I heard it and put it on the Front Page of The Tipsheet back in the 90s. I thought this was the dawn of great cross pollination in culture and music; hasn't really happened apart from Slumdog Millionaire and other one-offs.
