Martin K Shareware and freeware programmes were out there when the internet first took over the planet, and the creators and owners were pleased that their wares were being used, this of course led to altering of products and various tweekings.
Very simple sentences and similies apply here.

Martin K My partner was in a shop yesterday when a mobile phone went off, and the ring tone was a ten second clip from one of our Myspace sites, of which somebody forgot to unclick the download button. On questioning the young person where they had got it, the answer was " it was bluetoothed to me by a friend."
