Martin A young member of the young band I manage came home yesterday evening for his tea.
Like most kids his age , he had been a regular user of the various illegal music download sites.
He recounted a tale of yesterday afternoon, of how one of his followers had stopped him in the street and told him how brilliant his new single was.
"Thanks very much " he politely replied.
The fan continued to tell him that the single was so good he had copied ten off on his computer for his friends as presents(!)
"Owww gawd!" I replied in dismay, "what did did you say?"
He looked guiltily at his shoes and said, "I`m afraid I smacked him one....."
I was in despair at this, kind of like, great.. , he`s hit a fan......, but people of this age do get into trouble, and you have to let them get their own life expierience.
However, I was most pleased an hour later when he re-appeared from his sulk and said" Is it ok if I go on i-tunes and BUY the new Razorlight song?"
Lesson learnt methinks.
