JK2006 Usually I would agree with you Pru but this year there was a definite marked improvement in quality. No real hits, I thought, but everything now good second division instead of fifth division. With the sad exception of the UK entry.
Pru I heard a bit of the Dutch song - accidentally on YouTube - and thought it was Fleetwood Mac, maybe through a sock. But It didn't go anywhere and I couldn't understand a single word, even though it was in English. Maybe my ears are shot. I agree the UK process is awful but, come on, most of the other ones are, too, it's a terrible, terrible, evening of music. Just appalling.
JK2006 I gather no less than 19 Eurovision entrants will be in the UK Top 100 this Sunday which would be proof that the standard has been higher than ever before.
JK2006 I seem to have been mentioned in 55 articles about Eurovision this year!
JK2006 Thanks Paul. Yes UK Records still belongs to me. I was never really a DJ - just sat in for regulars and did the odd special. I have CD/Rs of some of the shows I did in the 70s and 80s and the music is terrific. I'm just OK. So no, at nearly 70, I think my DJ days are behind me and sadly suspect my producing days are past too. But never say never, as Miss Scotland once said.
