JK2006 And last night The One Show featured my old friend from the 60s Steve (Cat Stevens). And a feature on the late Ronnie Plonk Lane. Nostalgia rools.

Nobody knows. well, someone had a theory that the particular notes hit the emotional spot in the brain (or something)and it affects (from observation) maybe one toddler in every roomful. It cant be the words that upset them, because it happens with babies who are too young to be depressed by the mummies and daddies taking them home to bed at six o clock too

What a fabulous song to write! I think we underestimate the pleasure that some songs give to people, and its a great thing to leave behind.

Surely he has been dead for yonks? Was he aware that many children burst into tears when they hear it for no good reason?
