K Mumbling or not, it's poor pronunciation (or, "trying to be cool") which leads all these examples to be misheard. Bad pronunciation, like.... Sia.

I'm not defending Sia, I'm not a fan, but this is an age-old thing in music.

She's trying to be different, as many have done before her. If you don't like it, so what? Many of the older generation hated Elvis, didn't do his career any harm.
John W I don't see what most of those videos are supposed to prove. If it's that many singers consistently mumble as badly as Sia does, then they're incredibly poor choices. All of those singers are usually very clear. All these vids do is show that some well-known songs get the odd lyric misheard, which is another point entirely.
