JK2006	I have to say, Bleeding Love was a real hit - great song - but Leona was simply another Mariah lookalike/soundalike to me and those singers always have more technique than soul. Now Beverley Knight - there's a great singer who deserved to be far bigger than she was/is.

Personally I think Simon wanted/wants for the X-Factor to discover and launch an international megastar and he believed that Leona was the one, but even someone as influential as Simon can't make it happen without the support. I did hear insider rumours last year after the album was completed that it was going to put her back on top and it still might. The first single has flopped for many but they've gone from strength to strength after that, let's wait and see (and stop revelling in putting the boot in).
