Tory propaganda, the fact that she is still alive today, means they have done something, she also probably got paid a hefty fee to say how poor she is. Band was what it says on the tin, a band aid to deal with the immediate problem. For longer term changes you need governments to intervene and a change in attitude that it isn't cool to have lots of children that you can't afford to keep.
Its a bit of a cheek to say "Sir Bob needed to do more" He doesn't needto do more because it is not his responsibility. |
