JK2006 He was a mere junior producer when I ran Decca; indeed I think he made some albums for Deram when it started. Although he was older than me (74 when he died). His Rubettes hits enabled him to start State Records in the building I later visited after a radio station bought it. And he went on to become a big executive in the PRS.
JK2006 I was only thinking about him Sunday when Walker played Sugar Baby Love! I used to call him Bickerstaff from his Decca days.
