Mart It is indeed, but I do so love the later band, a dream come true would be to have them back me for just one minute.
Incidently, "One Night With You", is under two minutes in length.
Most of my 78`s snapped under the weight of the others.
There were no Elvis ones, but some interesting classical early form of the "box sets". For exmaple, Beethoven accross 5 X 78 records, in a lovely box.
Anybody who has not heard my "King of Rock N Roll", cand click here

I think it`s the third one down,on the site and is now deleted.
zooloo When I used to sell second-hand records we'd get the occasional punter who with glee would tell us they had an Elvis 78... always the same reply - pity you don't have the 45 it's actually worth something.

Elvis before the army is probably his most interesting period.
The Cat The first Elvis record we had in our house (when I were a lad) was 'Just Can't Help Believing'. I also liked 'In The Ghetto' and 'My Boy'. One of my very favourite Elvis tracks is 'It's Midnight', which was on the flip side of 'Promised Land'.

There's a boy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis .... It's the truth! It's actual! He was named after The King of Rock n Roll. (Better than another boy his age who's Man Utd crazy father named him Trafford!!).
Mart Indeed and often discussed ITK.
Why did they put so much material out that was blatantly demoes?
Not only that, but it came out at a budget price at the time.
Ok, maybe I can answer that myself given the benefit hindsight, and with a question, did Elvis get a bigger profile by the cheaper albums coming out?
There are some absolutely brilliant Elvis albums and some one play only albums. This is a shame.
We love you E, we just didn`t like you singing "certain songs".
That`s a list that I will not start!
In The Know Interesting fact about Elvis is that he had an incredible output - but how much is actually worth anything (musically)? 1% maybe?

Had he continued recording would that now be 0.01%?
