JK2006 May I point you at my lyric for When I Was A Star? In tribute to the late Michel Delpech, who wrote the original song (in French literally When I Was A Singer). I changed the concept to suit myself and other stars of the time (1976). Listen to the words about Elton's then obsession with his hair (or lack of it); Rod's obsession with Scotland, Cat Stevens' obsession with dying young (he did then anticipate an early death - I was his only friend to visit him at the TB hospital).
