JK2006 My old friend Rod Buckle (who brought me Seaside Shuffle on Sonet in 1972) has written a book under the name Harry Buckle, telling tales of the music industry and it is well worth buying (Amazon). It's called Sometimes Music Is My Only Friend (sounds more like a Stephen King line).
