JK2006 SOTS played this a few weeks ago - one of my favourite ever tracks by the Detroit Spinners (actually the Spinners but there was a Brit folk group with that name). It wasn't a big hit but it is magnificent - incredible syncopation. So I've been going through a bit of a Spinners phase. If you don't know them the most accessible track is Rubberband Man (with a stunning gap between Band and Man). If you like that almost jazzy soul syncopation, try some more. But One of a kind is stupendous. One of the most original, individual and inventive groups ever, for me.
