Never could get into American Football. Far too slow. But I do like Billy Joel, so if I'd known he was performing I might have tuned in for the opening.

Autotune or no autotune, I thought he was good... I've just listened to his live version on Songs From The Attic of Captain Jack... when he's good he can be very very good (unfortunately, when he's not he's unbearably MOR).

Prince certainly seems to be favourite with the younger guitarist types. Ranging from "I didn't know he played guitar" via "I didn't know he could play that many instruments" to know it all.
They're certainly impressed.
The old grumpies are wondering about that odd Autotune noise that replaced Billy Joel's vocals.
Big End
wasn't that always the case?

Prince wears both crowns comfortably already. He's also a big Santana fan. He's also part Cab Calloway. Except that with all due respect, no-one but Prince could write stuff like "The Cross" and "Sexymotherfucker" or "Purple Rain" and "Kiss". Does anyone remember the "Sign o' The Times" tour (let alone the magnificent album of the same name)? Why does pop music seem so flat since I've seen these 8 minutes on YouTube?
