I found the key to getting into my 40`s was dressing in my own perculiar way, and avoiding the more respectful dress styles I had in my 30`s.
I allways get mistaken for someone who "used to be somebody" which amuses me greatly!
Michael, it`s when we go to the supermarket and they ask us where the cabbage is, we have problems! |

I've noticed that when I stand around at festivals, kids ask me where the toilets are, figuring I'm staff. You want to cry, "I'm just another sodding mixed-up kid that's just into the music." But then you remember you're not. You can spot the dealers faster than most, know when the guitarist hasn't tuned up properly, know exactly when to duck out in time to miss the crush at the end (you don't seriously think there'll be a third encore, do you?) and can blag your way backstage.
So you're rumbled. You're one of THEM.
And on top of that, you don't even know where the toilets are. Pff, who wants to grow old? |

Hmm. I can tell you that I felt absolutely ancient myself last night at a gig for the second time this week!
You know you are getting old when you go to a gig and you appear to have "I work in the music biz" tattooed on your forehead!
I went to see an old friends band last week and unfortunately I said "you`ve gone bald!" to him, he responded very well actually, he said "yes but you`re still ugly!"
I remember Mr Garfunkel on Wogan years back, when Terry was insistent on making him sing, which he would not do, but there was a blatant glance to his left, probably checking to see if his people thought it would be ok, before he said he had a bad throat.
I`ve allways felt it probably was not in the contract.
I`d like to see the clip again if anyone finds it on Youtube or the like. |

Mind you - don't we all.
Compare teen JK with the current wrinkly by going to the PHOTOS section.
But Artie is definitely very wrinkly now. |
