You are right about the underachievers, TJN.
The whole company has been an "underachiever" for years.
The problem with over-shipping is that it distorts the books (short term). This is why the company had to adjust its forecasts every few weeks: In October 2006 the forecast was -3%,
mid-January -6 to 10% (did they really believe that norah jones could save them?), and five weeks later minus 15%. |

Overshipping? Certainly Mr Jones while the Sunday Press hang onto your every astute word, had they researched a little deeper and had a few journos who knew anything about the state of the music or really understood it ,the Sundays would have found out that the real problems with EMI are at Brook Green ,not Wrights Lane.
Robbie, Radiohead, Coldplay, Joss Stone ,Idlewild, David Gilmour and Kate Bush.Underachievers all. Across A & R ,management, marketing and Sales, the UK Company is just simply not performing and a clear out has to come. |

Dinosaurs rarely see the warning signs (and if they do - they tend to keep quiet about it to hang on to their jobs a little while longer, so they can be first in the recruitment queue !) |
