why isn't he signed yet? A no brainer; everyone has already heard/got his music.
He is an enormously talented person and I love the grooves, feel and melodies. Little bit too squeaky clean on the production, but that's just my personal taste.
Given this size of following, go up and down the East Coast packing the larger clubs to the doors, selling merchandise and signed "special issue" CDs. |

Er, he's very average. |

I think he's terrific but agree with all the above comments - too often America polishes talent so it sounds like something else where the UK tends to go into the original route.
If he was less Usher/Craig David he'd be far better.
I think he should work with a new, young, fresh, inexperienced but brave producer.
The basic talent is spot on. He sounds great and looks great.
But the tracks are manufactured and even the guidance (NOT that ad lib on Never Give Up) is missing. |

I can`t flaw it musically or recording wise.
Constructively and critically speaking and with all due respect, you need to be a bit ahead of the game in this genre and these recordings are quite a way behind it.
Had the first track started with the vocal over the flute only and some finger clicking as a beat instead of the Craig David style production, it would have been new for me.
A very honest A+R man once told me "you can be ten years out of date, but never five".
Re- the Myspace play counter, they mean very little to people as a selling point, so be careful of that as marketing.
We are very aware in this office that we could put loads on using the other work stations that the music was not loaded up on.
A brilliant voice though, I hope you do very well. |
